On Thursday, June 13th at 6:00PM as we host Omega Yeast Labs and Lake Effect Brewing for a guided tasting and discussion on Brettanomyces.
Microbiologist, and founder of Omega Yeast Labs, Lance Shaner, and Lake Effect Brewing Founder Clint Bautz will be on hand to taste through a series of barrel-fermented farmhouse ales, each inoculated with a different strain of wild yeast. They will discuss the complexities of working with these wild yeasts, and the trademark characteristics each strain imparts onto the base beer.
